Our Core

Welcome to True Bloom,

Let me introduce myself.

My name is Riel Barbon, I am a qualified teacher, SEN tutor and the Director of True Bloom Education and Coaching Ltd.

The reason why True Bloom exists is in hopes for a better quality of life for our children - our future society.

As educators, it is our duty to pave the way for young people to experience a world where they can utilise their strengths to create a strong, confident society.

It all starts within their minds - their thoughts, ideas, what patterns they establish in their youth.

Every child has their own unique ability to contribute to this world and True Bloom will that mission through holistic guidance.

Why We Exist

Academic learning is pivotal in understanding the world around us in a structured way, it also plays a huge part in opportunities that can propel a person in the world of work.

But learning academic content, I believe, is a privilege - its the allowance to access executive thinking in the mind. Something we cannot access if there are blockages - whether emotional, mental, social, even physiological. Until these hurdles are identified, it is a bigger challenge to understand why we cannot “learn”.

True Bloom exists to identify those limiting blockages that stop us from reaching our best version of ourselves. In turn, in doing this, we will be able to access academic learning through play, curiosity and confidence.

How We See Children

Children, like all people, of all ages, have the ability to shift, grow and adapt. No matter the circumstances that blocks them from their truest potential - through the right nurturing, their possibilities are endless.

We all need this hope (for without this belief, there is no chance)

There is no single age where the brain suddenly becomes “resistant” to learning, but neuroscience consistently shows three major phases where learning capacity (neuroplasticity) changes. The key scientific concept is Neuroplasticity - the mechanism behind learning and brain growth.

Peak plasticity occurs in childhood - early adulthood so early intervention is critical for supporting the future of your child.

"Riel was such a wonderful coach, the best thing to happen to my daughter—always active, engaging, and coming up with lovely ideas to keep my child happily busy. I loved how she would notice even small things about my daughter , always made me feel she genuinely cared about her!"
Fatima S.

"Her approach is thoughtful, patient, and perfectly tailored to neurodivergent learners. We couldn’t have asked for a better support system."
Karolina P.

How We Support Growth

For some, emotional safety is important - this could be seen through consistency in routines which honours the need for predictability. Others, a shift in nutrition might be essential - advice from a qualified nutrition could support this need. This may be what will regulate their nervous system, ready for academic engagement.

A consultation will determine specific needs but those needs can also change over time - and thats the beauty of it! Humans are so dynamic 🙂 Like nature - we all are.
